People Compliance Supervisor

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the daily operation of the vetting and screening team. Including acting as a direct point of contact for any issues related to the overall vetting process
- Supervise the implementation of BS7858 processes for new and existing workers.
- Ensure vetting procedures are compliant with the relevant legislation and security standards (e.g. background checks, criminal history checks, financial checks, etc.).
- Evaluate risks and manage confidential information appropriately.
- Review and assess any potential security threats or risks posed by applicants.
- Monitor any changes in security vetting and screening policies to ensure continuous compliance.
- Ensure that all screening and vetting activities are properly documented and maintained.
- Prepare and present reports on vetting progress, security risks, and other relevant metrics to senior management or senior leadership.
- Collaborate with our internal customers to ensure a seamless vetting process, in line with our SLA’s.
Team Management
- Promote a high standard of integrity and ethics within the team.
- Provide guidance and make decisions regarding complex vetting scenarios or issues within the team.
- Ability to explain complex information clearly to team members, senior management, and external stakeholders.
Essential Skills
- Experience of supervising a team
- Experience of security operations in a hospitality or retail setting
- Experience of using Microsoft Office
- Attention to detail
- Critical thinking and problem solving
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- Excellent Time Management
- A full appreciation of BS7858 and appropriate controls
- A full appreciation of Right To Work
- The ability to manage competing, time bound demands is a complex situation
