KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the daily operation of the vetting and screening team. Including acting as a direct point of contact for any issues related to the overall vetting process​
  • Supervise the implementation of BS7858 processes for new and existing workers. ​
  • Ensure vetting procedures are compliant with the relevant legislation and security standards (e.g. background checks, criminal history checks, financial checks, etc.).​
  • Evaluate risks and manage confidential information appropriately.​
  • Review and assess any potential security threats or risks posed by applicants.​
  • Monitor any changes in security vetting and screening policies to ensure continuous compliance.​
  • Ensure that all screening and vetting activities are properly documented and maintained.​
  • Prepare and present reports on vetting progress, security risks, and other relevant metrics to senior management or senior leadership.​
  • Collaborate with our internal customers to ensure a seamless vetting process, in line with our SLA’s.​

Team Management

  • Promote a high standard of integrity and ethics within the team.​
  • Provide guidance and make decisions regarding complex vetting scenarios or issues within the team.​
  • Ability to explain complex information clearly to team members, senior management, and external stakeholders.​

Essential Skills

  • Experience of supervising a team​
  • Experience of security operations in a hospitality or retail setting​
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office​
  • Attention to detail​
  • Critical thinking and problem solving​
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral​
  • Excellent Time Management​
  • A full appreciation of BS7858 and appropriate controls​
  • A full appreciation of Right To Work ​
  • The ability to manage competing, time bound demands is a complex situation​
