A people-first security partner protecting businesses, venues and communities across the UK and Ireland.
Our Key Highlights

Professional Security began with first-hand experience of the frontline.
Before founding the business, David Fullerton worked as a Door Supervisor across Leeds. He saw an opportunity to raise industry standards by building a security company centred on professional service, responsible employment and respect for the people doing the job.
In 2005, David and Abby Fullerton founded Professional Security with a clear ambition: to provide clients with dependable, well-supported security teams while creating a better working environment for frontline professionals.
Today, we support hospitality venues, retail and leisure destinations, commercial premises, major events and stadia across the UK and Ireland.
Our growth has been shaped by exceptional people and long-term client relationships. From independent venues to complex multi-site portfolios, we work as an extension of our clients’ teams – protecting their people, premises, customers and reputations.
Professional Security is the original business at the heart of Fullerton Group, which brings together specialist security, training and risk-management companies.
We retain our sector expertise and customer-focused approach while benefiting from shared central services across marketing, finance, recruitment, vetting and screening, compliance, technology and HR.
This gives our clients the personal service and specialist knowledge of a dedicated security partner, backed by the infrastructure, resources and stability of a wider organisation.
Our leadership team brings together experience from security, hospitality, retail, events, stadia and complex commercial operations.
This means we understand security from both the provider’s and the client’s perspective. Every solution is shaped around the premises, operating model, customer journey, risk profile and service expectations involved.
Our services include:
UK and Ireland coverage with local support
Professional Security supports clients across the UK and the Republic of Ireland, combining consistent standards and central oversight with local operational delivery.
Our established management and operational infrastructure allows us to support independent businesses, national contracts and complex multi-site portfolios. Locally recruited teams are supported by experienced regional leaders who understand their markets and remain close to clients and frontline colleagues.
For organisations operating across both the UK and Ireland, this provides one trusted security partnership with consistent service standards across every location.
24/7 support from our Client Support Centre
Our head office Client Support Centre operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, providing continuous support to clients, operational teams and frontline colleagues.
The Centre acts as a central point for:
This ensures incidents, staffing requirements and security concerns can be managed quickly, with clear communication and support available whenever it is needed.
Professional Security is an SIA Approved Contractor for Security Guarding, Door Supervision and Close Protection in the UK.
In our latest Approved Contractor Scheme audit, we achieved an outstanding score of 140 out of 145, placing us within the top 1% of UK security providers.
The assessment covers 89 performance indicators, including service delivery, customer satisfaction, workforce development, compliance, governance and risk management. Our score provides clients with independent assurance that high standards are embedded throughout our business.
In the Republic of Ireland, our services are delivered in accordance with the relevant Private Security Authority licensing requirements.
Responsible employment and transparent payroll
Our frontline colleagues are directly employed through PAYE. We do not operate a cash-in-hand employment model.
By managing payroll directly, we maintain clear employment records, correctly process tax and National Insurance contributions, and provide our colleagues with the employment protections and statutory benefits they are entitled to.
This transparent approach gives clients greater confidence in their security supply chain, reducing the risks associated with false self-employment, unclear subcontracting arrangements and non-compliant labour providers.
