Professional Security Supports the Launch of Leeds’ First Chick-fil-A®

Today marked the exciting launch of Leeds’ first-ever Chick-fil-A® restaurant, and Professional Security was proud to play a key role. Our team provided door supervision and crowd management to ensure a safe and seamless experience for everyone. We’ll also continue to support the site with our ongoing security services.

A Warm Welcome on Launch Day

Stationed outside the new restaurant on Commercial Street, our door supervisors kept queues moving and guests comfortable. Crowds stretched back into Trinity Leeds as customers eagerly waited to try Chick-fil-A’s famous chicken sandwiches and hand-squeezed lemonade.

Meanwhile, our team looked sharp and professional in their uniforms, complemented by Chick-fil-A-branded red beanies – a warm, autumn-ready touch that matched the friendly atmosphere. Members of our head office also dropped by to show support, enjoy the food, and take in the launch-day buzz.

A Major Step for Chick-fil-A in the UK

The Leeds opening represents an important milestone in Chick-fil-A’s $100 million investment across the UK over the next decade. The new restaurant has transformed the former Clarks store into a bright and welcoming space, designed to reflect the brand’s famous hospitality.

At the centre of this new venture is Mike Hoy, the UK’s first Chick-fil-A Owner-Operator. London-born and experienced in hospitality, Mike has worked with leading brands including Nando’s UK, Tim Hortons, and Burger King. His Chick-fil-A journey began in 2016 after a visit to one of its U.S. restaurants. That experience inspired him to bring the same sense of care and community to the UK.

Giving Back to the Community

True to that promise, Mike and his team have already launched a food donation partnership with local charity St George’s Crypt. Through the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® programme, surplus food will be distributed to those in need. This initiative reflects Chick-fil-A’s long-standing commitment to community service and support.

In addition, the restaurant aims to create local opportunities through jobs and training, helping people gain experience in the hospitality industry. As a result, the opening is already making a positive impact across the city.
