⚠️ Mandatory Pre-Course Requirement

Before attending, you must complete the ACT Awareness and ACT Security online courses via ProtectUK.

  • ⏱️ Duration: ~45 minutes
  • Save or screenshot both certificates – you must provide them before attending.
  • ACT courses are part of the UK’s Action Counters Terrorism (ACT) initiative and are mandatory for your qualification.

Pre-Requisites

Age

All applicants must be over the age of 18

Mandatory

Learners must:

  • Hold an active SIA Door Supervisor licence due for renewal, or have held one that has lapsed by no more than 3 years
  • Complete ACT Awareness and ACT Security online courses via ProtectUK before attending
  • Be able to speak, read, write and understand English to at least Functional Skills Level 1
  • Provide valid photographic ID (passport or driving licence, or original birth certificate issued within 12 months of birth)
  • Provide two proofs of address (bank statement, utility bill, council tax statement, P60 etc.)

Recommended

It should be advised that when applying for an SIA Licence part of the process includes a criminality check (DBS). It is recommended that learners with concerns should use the Criminal Record Indicator, available on the SIA website prior to enrolling on this qualification, to ascertain if they are likely to achieve licenced status.
