The Door Supervisor Refresher Course is designed for existing Door Supervisors whose SIA licence is due for renewal. You can also take this course if your licence has expired within the last three years. If your licence expired more than three years ago, you may need to complete the full Door Supervisor qualification rather than the refresher course.

Upon successful completion of the course, learners will achieve:

• QNUK Level 2 Award for Door Supervisors in the Private Security Industry (Refresher)
• QNUK Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (Security)

These qualifications meet the current SIA licence renewal requirements for Door Supervisors.

The qualification is delivered in two stages. First, learners complete approximately 12 hours of mandatory online learning through the Academy platform. Once completed, learners attend 2 days of classroom-based training and assessments delivered by experienced industry trainers.

The booking process is simple:

1. Complete the registration form.
2. Receive your payment link.
3. Create your account and complete payment.
4. Verify your email address.
5. Access the Academy learning platform.
6. Complete your mandatory e-learning.
7. Attend your 2-day classroom course.

Once you have completed payment, you will create a password and receive an email verification link. After verifying your email address, you can log in to the Academy learning platform and begin your online learning using the same email address and password.

The online learning includes:

• ACT Awareness
• Emergency First Aid at Work theory
• Learner registration and ID verification
• Learner workbook and revision materials

All modules must be completed before attending your classroom training.

You must complete all mandatory online learning by 3:00pm at least 2 days before your classroom training begins. This deadline allows the Academy team to verify learner records and ensure you are ready to attend.

Failure to complete the e-learning by the deadline will result in your place being cancelled.

The e-learning forms part of the qualification requirements. Therefore, if you fail to complete the required learning by 3:00pm 2 days before your course starts, you will not be permitted to attend the classroom training. In addition, no refund will be issued.

Protect UK’s ACT Awareness Security e-learning courses are mandatory requirements for the Door Supervisor Refresher qualification. Learners must complete both courses via ProtectUK before attending classroom training.

You will need:

• Valid photographic ID such as a passport or driving licence
• Two proofs of address, such as a bank statement, utility bill, council tax statement or P60

The Academy team may request these documents during the onboarding process.

If you already hold a First Aid certificate dated 2025 or 2026, please email a copy to Academy@professionalsecurityuk.com. The Academy team will review the qualification and confirm whether it can be accepted as part of your training requirements.

Classroom training takes place between 8am and 6:00pm on both days of the course. Learners should arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time to allow for registration and document checks.

Our standard Door Supervisor Refresher Course fee is £215. However, we also work with employers and partner organisations to offer discounted rates where applicable.

When you register, simply select the organisation you’re registering through. We’ll confirm your course fee and provide the correct payment details before payment is required.

There is no upfront payment required to reserve your place, and Klarna Pay in 3 is available for eligible bookings

As part of the SIA licensing process, applicants undergo a criminality check. If you have concerns about your eligibility, we recommend using the SIA Criminal Record Indicator available on the SIA website before enrolling on the course.

If you need to cancel your Door Supervisor Refresher Course, the following refund and transfer policy applies:

• More than 5 days before your course date: You may receive a full refund or transfer your booking to another available course date.
• Between 48 hours and 5 days before your course date: You may receive a 50% refund or transfer your booking to another available course date.
• Less than 48 hours before your course date: No refund or transfer will be available.

Please note that failure to attend the course, arriving too late to participate, or failing to complete the mandatory e-learning by the stated deadline will be treated as a non-attendance and no refund will be issued.

In exceptional circumstances, Professional Security Academy may review requests on a case-by-case basis.
