Professional Security, the UK’s number one provider of security in the hospitality sector, is seeking an experienced Area Manager to join our expanding management team.
In this role, you will lead and manage a team of SIA-licenced Door Supervisors across Bristol, Gloucestershire, and surrounding areas, ensuring the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and service across our venues.
As part of the UK’s largest hospitality security provider, you’ll work with thousands of security professionals safeguarding hundreds of bars, pubs, restaurants, nightclubs, hotels, and other hospitality venues. This is a permanent, full-time role offering career progression opportunities for ambitious, driven candidates who are passionate about protecting people and creating safe, welcoming environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of SIA-licensed Door Supervisors across your region
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Implement operational procedures and directives from your Operations Manager and Head of Operations
- Plan and manage weekly staff rotas
- Conduct weekly recruitment sessions for new Door Supervisors
- Audit and visit venue staff to maintain service quality
- Attend Pubwatch and licensing meetings
- Liaise with local police forces to uphold safety standards
- Support business growth through new client acquisition and account management
Skills and Experience Required
- Minimum 2 years’ management experience in the security sector (preferred)
- Extensive experience in the door supervision sector
- Strong leadership and people-management skills
- Confident communicator, able to operate under pressure
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Computer literate with problem-solving skills
- SIA Licence required
