We’re looking for experienced Area Managers to oversee multiple security contracts across a designated region, ensuring our clients receive outstanding service while supporting, developing and leading our frontline teams.

This is a varied operational leadership role where no two days are the same. You’ll be responsible for client relationships, operational performance, workforce management, compliance, incident response and business growth, ensuring every contract is delivered safely, professionally and to the highest possible standard.

What you’ll be doing

As an Area Manager, you’ll take ownership of a portfolio of security contracts, ensuring they consistently meet operational, contractual and commercial objectives.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and supporting Security Officers, Supervisors and Site Managers across multiple locations.
• Building strong, long-term relationships with clients through regular communication and site visits.
• Ensuring contracts are delivered in line with assignment instructions, company standards and client expectations.
• Managing staffing levels, recruitment requirements and workforce planning across your region.
• Conducting welfare visits, performance reviews and coaching to develop frontline teams.
• Managing incidents, investigations and escalations professionally and efficiently.
• Monitoring operational KPIs and implementing improvements where required.
• Ensuring full compliance with SIA legislation, company policies and industry standards.
• Completing audits, inspections and quality assurance visits.
• Supporting contract mobilisation, client retention and operational growth.
• Working closely with Recruitment, Vetting, Training and Central Support teams to maintain operational excellence.
• Producing reports and communicating performance updates to senior management.

What we’re looking for

You’ll be an experienced operational manager with a passion for leading people and delivering exceptional service.

You’ll have:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience managing multiple security contracts or operational teams.
• Previous experience within the private security industry.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills.
• Strong client relationship management experience.
• Experience managing incidents and operational escalations.
• Workforce planning and rota management experience.
• Strong commercial awareness.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to make confident decisions under pressure.
• A proactive, solution-focused approach.

Essential requirements

• Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding Licence.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Right to Work in the UK.
• Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel regularly across your allocated region.
