What You’ll Do as a Door Supervisor
You’re not “just on the door” – you’re the face of safety, the first point of contact, and the person who helps everyone have a great night.
You will:
- Be visible and approachable across the venue, engaging positively with guests and supporting staff
- Maintain a polished, professional appearance at all times, reflecting the venue and Professional Security brand
- Work closely with the venue team to ensure smooth operations and a welcoming environment
- Spot and address potential issues before they escalate, keeping the night safe and enjoyable
- Enforce venue standards, including dress codes, intoxication policies, and customer experience expectations
- Handle conflicts calmly and professionally, always putting the customer experience first
- Complete accurate incident reports and assist with emergency procedures
Requirements for Door Supervisor Roles Across the UK
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence (essential)
- Ability to pass BS7858 security vetting (essential)
- Previous experience in security, hospitality, or crowd management
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Professional appearance and calm, confident manner
- Reliability, integrity, and strong teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work weekends, late nights, and peak periods
- Reliable transport to and from shifts
