Top 5 Things You Missed from Professional Security This Month

July 2, 2026
Calculating...

Another busy month has flown by at Professional Security, with our teams continuing to make an impact across the UK both on and off the job. From supporting major sporting events to celebrating our people and recognising incredible achievements, here’s our round-up of the five biggest highlights you may have missed.

1. Keeping World-Class Tennis Safe

This month also saw our specialist event security teams supporting the LTA during another prestigious tennis tournament.

Delivering security at elite sporting events requires more than simply managing access points. It demands excellent customer service, situational awareness and close collaboration with organisers to ensure players, spectators and staff can enjoy a safe environment throughout the competition.

We’re proud to continue supporting major sporting events across the UK, providing security solutions that help world-class events run seamlessly

2. Supporting LNER’s Wembley Travel Operation

One of the month’s standout operations saw our team working alongside London North Eastern Railway to support Middlesbrough fans travelling to Wembley.

Large-scale sporting events require careful planning, excellent communication and experienced security professionals to ensure journeys run safely and smoothly. Our officers were proud to play their part in supporting passengers, managing busy stations and helping create a positive experience for travelling supporters.

Events like these showcase the professionalism and adaptability of our teams, who continue to deliver exceptional service in high-pressure environments.

3. Celebrating Our Big Weekend Bonus Winners

This month, we were delighted to celebrate two of the latest winners from our Big Weekend Bonus campaign, recognising the outstanding commitment shown by our security teams during some of the busiest weekends of the year.

The Big Weekend Bonus was launched to reward colleagues who went the extra mile over the April and May Bank Holiday period. By completing eligible shifts, employees earned entries into a prize draw for the chance to win one of eight £150 gift vouchers.

Congratulations to Darren Lee Harkins from Blagdon Arms, Cramlington, who completed five shifts, worked 32.5 hours and secured nine prize draw entries before being selected as one of our lucky winners. His dedication throughout the campaign is a fantastic example of the commitment our teams show every day.

We also celebrated Saibou Sidibeh from McDonald’s Briggate, Leeds, our first Big Weekend Bonus winner. Saibou worked an incredible 153 hours during the campaign, earning 24 prize draw entries through his hard work and commitment. Regularly supporting operations into the early hours of the morning, his contribution has made him an invaluable member of the Leeds team, making this recognition thoroughly deserved.

The Big Weekend Bonus is just one of the ways Professional Security recognises and rewards the people who consistently go above and beyond for our clients. With more winners still to be announced, we’re proud to continue celebrating the dedication, professionalism and exceptional service delivered by our teams across the UK.

4. Dave Andrews Honours a Friend’s Legacy

Some achievements go far beyond the workplace.

Last week, our Senior Operations Manager, Dave Andrews , took part in the inaugural Simon Robinshaw Memorial Festival, honouring the memory of his friend and former teammate.

Following Simon’s passing last year, Dave was inspired to gain his refereeing qualification so he could continue his friend’s legacy. At this year’s festival, he proudly refereed his very first Masters fixture before representing Doncaster Toll Bar on the pitch.

To make the occasion even more memorable, Dave received both Masters Player of the Tournament and Doncaster Toll Bar Player of the Day, with the awards presented by Simon’s wife, Claire.

Dave’s story perfectly reflects the values we strive to live every day-leadership, dedication, respect and service. We’re incredibly proud to have him representing Professional Security both inside and outside of work.

Congratulations, Dave, and everyone involved in making the Simon Robinshaw Memorial Festival such a meaningful tribute

5. Ben Knott’s Frontline Journey Makes a Big Impact

One of our best-performing social media posts this month highlighted the incredible start made by Ben Knott .

In just three months with Professional Security, Ben has travelled thousands of miles across the UK, spending valuable time with our frontline teams.

From supporting operations at the LTA Nottingham Open and Eastbourne International, to joining our Street Patrol teams at Coventry BID Ltd and visiting hospitality operations in London, Ben has made it his mission to understand every part of our business.

His visits have celebrated the professionalism, dedication and customer service our people deliver every day, while strengthening relationships across the organisation and reinforcing our people-first culture.

The post resonated strongly with our audience, generating nearly 1,000 impressions and highlighting the importance of visible, engaged leadership.

Looking Ahead

Every month brings new opportunities to support our clients, celebrate our people and demonstrate what makes Professional Security different.

Whether it’s delivering exceptional security at major events, investing in our colleagues or recognising achievements beyond the workplace, we’re proud of the difference our teams continue to make every single day.
