Powering World-Class Events Behind the Scenes

When people think of Silverstone Circuit, they think speed, scale, and spectacle. As the home of the Formula 1 British Grand Prix, it’s one of the most iconic venues in global motorsport- drawing hundreds of thousands of fans and hosting some of the most high-profile events in the world.

But behind the roaring engines and packed grandstands is something just as important: precision, planning, and people.

That’s where Professional Security comes in.

More Than Motorsport

Silverstone isn’t just about race weekends. With world-class facilities like The Wing, alongside its hotel and innovation centre, the venue operates year-round – hosting conferences, exhibitions, corporate events, and live experiences.

That means security isn’t a one-size-fits-all service. It’s dynamic, fast-moving, and constantly evolving.

From large-scale race days to business events, our teams deliver tailored support across every corner of the site – including door supervision, stewarding, event safety, and close protection.

The Challenge: Scale, Speed & Complexity

Operating at Silverstone comes with a unique set of challenges:

  • Event schedules that change fast – often requiring last-minute staffing adjustments
  • A rural location that brings heavy traffic and limited transport options
  • High demand for SIA-licensed staff during peak periods
  • Large-scale operations where communication and coordination are critical

On major event days, even small delays can have a big impact – so resilience and flexibility are essential.

Our Approach: Built for High-Performance Environments

To meet the demands of a venue like Silverstone, our approach is designed around agility, reliability, and forward planning.

Local Workforce, Real Impact

We prioritise recruiting and developing local talent – creating a flexible workforce that can respond quickly to changing demands. For major events, on-site accommodation helps eliminate travel disruption entirely.

Investing in Skills

Through our Social Value commitments, we provide ongoing SIA training opportunities, helping build a stronger, more resilient local workforce while opening doors for new talent.

Technology That Keeps Us Connected

Working closely with our Security Operations Centre, we’re enhancing connectivity through Starlink – enabling real-time dashboards, live updates, and stronger operational oversight across the site.

Always Ready

From digital systems to manual backups, our contingency planning ensures operations continue seamlessly – even in high-pressure, high-footfall environments.

Delivering at Scale

Since launching the contract in September 2022, our teams have supported Silverstone with:

  • Up to 350 staff on-site
  • Around 6,000 hours per week during peak periods
  • Coverage across multiple zones and event types
  • An average 98% site coverage rate

It’s a large-scale operation – but one built on consistency, communication, and trust.

The Result: Seamless Events, Stronger Partnerships

From global sporting moments to business events, our role is simple: make sure everything runs exactly as it should.

By combining local resourcing, forward-thinking strategy, and real-time operational visibility, we help create safe, efficient, and well-managed environments – no matter the scale.

But the impact goes beyond the event itself.

Through training, employment, and long-term investment in people and technology, we’re helping build something more sustainable – a partnership that continues to evolve alongside one of the UK’s most iconic venues.
