Tis’ the Season to give!
This Christmas, we have embraced the true spirit of giving by supporting causes that hold deep significance for both our clients and team members.
Rather than sending traditional gifts to our clients, we opted to make meaningful donations to four exceptional charities. To make the initiative personal, we asked our clients to share which causes resonate most with them, allowing us to make donations in their names.
The selected charities include The Tim Bacon Foundation, which supports cancer charities and helps individuals live well with cancer. Hospitality Action, which provides essential support to hospitality workers facing challenges such as mental health issues, financial difficulties, and crises, was also among the chosen beneficiaries. Additionally, we supported Ronald McDonald House Charities, which helps families stay close to their children during hospital care, and the Consortium for the Prevention of Suicide, which develops innovative solutions to address the global issue of suicide. These contributions reflect our commitment to compassion, kindness, and making a tangible impact during the festive season.
In addition to this client-focused initiative, we extended our giving efforts to causes close to the hearts of our team members. To make this possible, we invited our colleagues to nominate charities they care about, and we are proud to have supported their choices.
Donations were made to Crohn’s & Colitis UK, an organisation that advocates for individuals living with Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis. We also contributed to Kirkwood Hospice, which provides compassionate care for people with life-limiting illnesses in Kirklees, and Mind Cymru, which offers mental health resources and advocacy across Wales. Helping & Caring Hands, an organisation supporting educational and career advice as well as those struggling with the cost of living, was another chosen charity. Further donations were made to Ronald McDonald House Charities to extend their mission of supporting families during hospital stays, and the Children’s Heart Surgery Fund (CHSF), which empowers the Leeds Congenital Heart Unit to deliver world-class care.
At Professional Security, we are also committed to giving back through our Professional Payback initiative, which encourages every team member to dedicate one working day each year to volunteer for a charity of their choice. This week, Paige, Finlay, and Nick proudly volunteered at the Children’s Heart Surgery Fund, where they organised donated gifts and delivered them to children across multiple wards. Their efforts brought smiles and festive joy to families during a challenging time.
These initiatives demonstrate our dedication to making a meaningful difference—not only for our clients but also for the communities we serve and the incredible team we work alongside. The season of giving is about more than just tradition; it’s about spreading kindness and creating positive change for those who need it most.
We are immensely proud of the generosity shown by everyone involved and grateful for the opportunity to contribute to these impactful causes. Together, we are spreading goodwill and making a difference, one act of kindness at a time.
From all of us at Professional Security, we wish you and your loved ones a joyful holiday season and a Happy New Year!
