49,098 security shifts delivered across the UK
The World Cup created one of the busiest trading periods of the year for pubs, bars, sports venues and hospitality operators throughout the UK.
As the tournament progressed and interest intensified, Professional Security worked closely with clients to respond to changing fixture schedules, growing crowds and increased demand for experienced SIA Door Supervisors and hospitality security professionals.
Across the 6-week tournament, our teams delivered:
- More than 3,600 security professionals deployed
- 49,098 shifts completed
- 335,395 working hours delivered
- More than 99% service delivery throughout the tournament
The scale of activity continued right through to the closing stages. During the final week alone, our teams completed 8,909 shifts and delivered 59,144 hours of security support across England, Scotland and Wales.
While supporters were predicting scorelines, debating VAR decisions and trying to keep count of Argentina’s fouls, our operational teams were coordinating thousands of people and shifts across the country.
